2004 North American Hazardous Materials Management Association, CESQG P2 Award

 

 

 

In 2004, METRA was awarded the NAHMMA CESQG P2 Award in recognition of its efforts in providing waste reduction education and innovative pollution prevention assistance to Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity Generators of hazardous waste.
 

 

 

 

 

 


It is worth noting that the award itself (Re-Award™) is made entirely of recycled glass.


2000 and 2001 Sustainable Florida Awards


On May 24, 2000, the Council for Sustainable Florida had its second annual presentation of the Sustainable Florida Awards, where METRA received the Sustainable Florida Award for Initiative in recognition of its environmental stewardship and leadership. In 2001, METRA was again rewarded by the Council for Sustainable Florida and received the Leadership award for its dedication to "sustainability through community involvement and education."

 
The Council of State Governments has also recognized METRA for its innovation.
