ENVIRONMENTAL TRAINING PROVIDED BY METRA
WORKSHOP TARGET AUDIENCE
Vehicle Industry Environmental Workshop (VIEW) Targets anyone working in the vehicle repair industry. Curriculum includes identifying and managing wastes that are common to the maintenance industry, recordkeeping, pollution prevention, industrial wastewater, stormwater, OSHA and community right-toknow (EPCRA). This class is approximately four hours.
General Environmental Workshop Designed for workers from diverse industry sectors. Curriculum includes determining what wastes are regulated, waste management, recordkeeping, emergency preparedness, pollution prevention, industrial wastewater, stormwater, basic air rules, OSHA and community right-toknow (EPCRA). The curriculum can be modified for specific audiences. This is a one day class.
Medical Industry Designed for health related services, including: general medical, dental, nursing, chiropractic, pharmaceutical and veterinary medicine. The curriculum is directed toward the proper management of regulated wastes, such as: biomedical waste, pharmaceutical waste, mercury-containing devices, x-ray waste and other medical waste streams. This is a one day class.
Construction Contractors Targets those working in the construction/demolition industry. Curriculum includes determining what wastes are regulated, waste management, erosion control, stormwater, and pollution prevention. This class is approximately six hours.
Environmental Risk Designed for owners and managers of commercial property. Curriculum includes property assessments, environmental responsibilities of owners/managers, and emergency planning. This class is approximately 45 to 60 minutes and can be given during luncheons or similar meetings.
